Actualmente ha habido un despliegue de exhortaciones por parte de la psicología que insisten en la necesidad de amarse a sí mismo. Estos discursos de la autoestima que van volviéndose fastidiosos, tienen sin embargo un substrato teórico que va más allá de la autoayuda salvífica, tan necesaria a finales de siglo. Antes de que especializaciones como la psicología, la dietética, la medicina… vinieran a tomar a su cargo el cuidado del hombre, ya la filosofía había incluido en sus temas los imperativos a partir de los cuales los individuos deben establecer una relación consigo mismos. La filosofía es la que desde siempre, a partir del imperativo socrático “ocúpate de ti mismo” ha insistido en un interés que liga el amor propio al conocimiento de sí mismo. De este modo las relaciones entre ética y filosofía son estrechas y fundamentales.

Abstract

Currently there has been an array of exhortations by the psychology that insist on the need to love himself.
