This article of legal analysis of euthanasia aims to show how the rights of people are violated, by preventing them from making the decision about their body and their existence when they are faced with a degenerative or terminal illness in which they do not enjoy a dignified life, because in their day to day life they are subjected to constant suffering in which even the administration of drugs no longer gives them relief from the main and secondary symptoms of their condition. Topics that correspond to the sphere of euthanasia are addressed in order to have a broader understanding of the subject, beginning with the generalities of human rights, the right to life, the conceptual background, the way in which various legislations adopted this right and how some authors pronounce on the need to establish it in the Constitution; It also conceptually defines euthanasia with its classification and the explanation of each type, to conclude with a comparative analysis of countries such as Colombia and Spain, where it is already authorized, in contrast to Mexico, which is in the process of legalizing it so that its citizens may benefit from the exercise of the fundamental rights to life with dignity and freedom.
