Sociobiology and the contemporary naturalism.

 

Resumen

 

Se trata en este artículo de hacer avanzar el tema de la ética naturalizada y el naturalismo contemporáneo en el que es de suma importancia la Sociobiología. Tendencias del pensamiento contemporáneo que explican la función biológica y social de la conducta, a través de similitudes entre el hombre, los insectos y los primates superiores; igualmente, sus explicaciones hacen uso del salto de lo fáctico a lo normativo o, bien, de lo biológico a lo axiológico. Avance mostrado en notas y comentarios que inquietan la razón y la reflexión de aquellos humanistas o científicos que consideran esencial la pregunta sobre la naturaleza humana.

Abstract

It is the aim of this paper to bring forward the subject of naturalized ethics and contemporary naturalism, in which Sociobiology is preponderant. Tendencies in contemporary thought that explain biologic and social function of behavior making use of resemblance between humans, insects and great apes. In the same way, their explanations make a contrast going from factual to normative or from biological to axiological matters. This advance was revealed in notes and comments that agitate reason and incite reflection on those humanists and scientists considering human nature an essential question.
